Denso is encouraging its distributors to sell more glow plugs with the carrot of a trip to the Toyota Motorsport technical centre in Cologne.

Denso Corporation turns 60 this year and as part of the celebrations, 60 factors from the UK will be flown out to the top secret Toyota F1 facility.

Under Denso Aftermarket Sales UK’s latest pre peak plug season promotion, factors that increase their winter stock orders before the end of September will stand a chance of being invited on the trip

Traditionally, 80% of replacement glow plug demand occurs in the months between September and March.

The top selling factors will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at where the Toyota F1 cars are designed, made and tested, including the facility’s engine design, aerodynamics, prototyping and wind tunnel testing areas.

There will also be a special ‘Pit Stop Challenge’ with guests trying their hand as tyre-change crew teams and competing to fit a Toyota F1 tyre in the fastest time.
