Manbat’s new 2014 Word Cup campaign kicks off

FIFA-World-Cup-CompetitionTo celebrate the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Varta and Manbat have introduced an incentive to help its customers make the most of the football and make some extra money as a result.

The Varta Battery Champion competition aims to combine training and increased product knowledge with fun, and plans to do it via six rounds.

These knowledge building modules each feature a short film tackling an area on automotive batteries followed by five multiple choice questions, in order to earn points.

“The objective is to earn as many points as is possible, and as the old motto goes, points make prizes,” says Myles Pemberton, Marketing Manager for Manbat. “On sign up, they will earn 5000 points and with every question in each of the six rounds worth 1000, it is possible to earn 35,000 points before a single battery is purchased.

“However, with Black, Blue and Silver Dynamic battery purchases worth 1000 each and Blue Dynamic EFB and Sliver Dynamic AGM worth 2000 and 3000 points respectively, some serious points totals are achievable.

“On reaching the 35,000 target, they will win a tournament football, at 45,000 a black trophy and a tournament football, at 55,000 a blue trophy, national scarf and tournament trophy and 65,000 a silver trophy, an original football shirt, national scarf and tournament football.”

The six modules are broken down across various topics including understanding the new and start-stop technology, selecting the right battery for the right customer, and how to service and create other business opportunities from it.
