PREMIER MOTOR FACTORS GOES INTO ADMINISTRATION

Walsall-based parts supplier Premier Motor Factors has gone into administration.

Timothy Frank Corfield has been appointed as the official administrator, and an auction of the firm’s assets and stock will be held from February 26 through auctioneer Deeley Matthews..

Stephen Doyle started the company (officially called Direct Wholesale Europe) in August 2008, right at the start of the recession. The company had a strong online presence, with eBay being a particular strength. However, recent feedback suggests that it struggled to fill orders in the past few weeks, and the administrator was called in just before Christmas.

I worked for premier motor factors of Walsall West Midlands..I started their on first week in January 2017 and was abruptly dismissed after 9 weeks. I’ve worked for the likes of Asda logistics.Rac motoring,JLR, Birmingham city council,
At the time I started the company was upscaling to larger premises.there was a lot of practices I didn’t agree with health and safety was of a poor standard with regards to the premises holes in the roof wet floors trip hazards so many simple things that could have be fixed.
Issues with staff training was very very poor, management also poor..
The biggest thing for me was the returns the customer was always wrong when it was quite clear they had sent the wrong part out to the customer which was totally wrong..
Order picking wasn’t logical in order or althbetical.
I also seen that they would sell item and make pennyies on just in hope of receiving excellent feedback..
It has come as a real surprise they have gone into liquidation..really nice staff to work with .. unfortunately I felt the company was lacking in management skills and didn’t utilise the staff more efficiently I’m a mechanical engineer and my knowledge wasn’t utilised within this industry…but instead I was used as an order picker most of the time I got it wrong..as thing we’re all over the shop..I’ve never been so miserable in a working environment as this premier motor factors.
The day Anthony came a told me to leave I was so relieved..I skipped hopped as quickly as possible out of there..
