Retail Motor Industry Federation appoints Moran for indy representation

The Retail Motor Industry Federation has appointed David Moran as head of its independent garages division.

He replaces Mike Owen, who left the Federation earlier this year to join the new Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation.

Moran has worked in the automotive industry for more than 25 years, working in aftersales, sales and finance at Volvo UK and Europe, Nissan, GM Europe and Piaggio.

“I am keen to [give independents] a major voice in the industry,” he said, “and [provide] them with access to information, training and services to help develop their businesses and profitability, as well as raising consumer awareness of their membership and services.”
