Why you can expect more from Optimal

The world famous Pinewood Studios near Iver is a great location for a PR agency, it must be why Chicane marketing has set up shop there.

I went to see them this morning to chat to Optimal; the manufacturers and suppliers of steering, suspension, shock aborbers and other such products.

The company’s Geoff and Fiona Jones were keen to talk about their plan for the UK, and having seen it all laid out I can see why.

Optimal has already been in Britain for just over a year, bringing in parts from its German headquarters to sell to the UK parts industry. In the past twelve months the UK division of Optimal has seen impressive growth (as has the group as a whole – turning over close to £60 million last year.)

The UK branch is supported by a 12,000 sq metre warehouse in Germany. The company has grown so much in recent years though, that it’s rapidly running out of space. Geoff reports the warehouse has had to be extended several times to accommodate a growing stock portfolio.

Optimal UK describes itself at the moment as a second tier supplier, but that could all change if the company continues its impressive growth in this country, with new references and part ranges being added every month.

As part of our meeting I asked Geoff and Fiona what the UK could expect from Optimal in the next year. Their answer was very clear: “Expect more.”
