GSF opens 10,000 sq ft Birmingham branch; Crawley, Southgate to follow

GSF Car Parts has opened a new 10,000 sq ft branch in Birmingham, which will serve as a “vital hub” for the brand.

Located close to Birmingham city centre, it features a fleet of five vans, two bikes, and two electric Tuk Tuk-style bikes.

Sites in Crawley and Southgate are also set to open later this month as part of GSF’s rapid nationwide expansion; the brand now boasts 190 branches and 3000 staff.

Last month it also opened a brand new 500,000 sq ft National Distribution Centre in Wolverhampton.

Steve Horne, CEO of GSF Car Parts said: “We’re pleased to welcome the Birmingham East branch to the GSF network.

“The opening of these new branches demonstrates our ongoing investment in ensuring that our customers have easy access to the car parts they need, no matter where they are in the country. Birmingham, Crawley, and Southgate are all key locations for us, and we are excited to bring our exceptional service and extensive product range to these areas.”

Southgate, Crawley branches

The Southgate unit has three vans and four bikes. Located just four miles from Barnet and three miles from Finchley, this expansion enhances GSF’s London coverage and hopes to boost delivery speeds across the capital. The branch will serve the area’s many independent garages, national accounts, and click-and-collect customers.

The new Crawley Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) spans 22,000 sq ft and holds over £1 million worth of stock. It will service the branch network with six inter-branch vans, operating three times a day from Monday to Saturday. Initially opening with six delivery vehicles for their customer network, this fleet is set to expand in the coming months as the branch team establishes their customer base.
