BEN wants garages to Give a Scrap for charity

by

Sturgess Group - Chris - Give a ScrapThe automotive industry charity BEN is calling upon all independent garages to donate one vehicle ready for disposal to its latest scheme.

The Give a Scrap initiative provides a highly efficient and effective way to recycle any unwanted or unusable vehicles, with the value of the vehicle being donated to BEN.

It hopes this scheme, which is in partnership with Remove My Car, will offer the industry a hassle-free solution for disposing of vehicles, and over the next 12 months that every independent garage, service outlet and MOT station will be able to donate at least one car.

BEN says that if every garage in the UK donated one vehicle annually towards this cause, it would make a significant contribution to the number of people it can help.

Nigel Williams, Commercial Development Manager at BEN, said: “The immediate reaction to Give a Scrap indicates that this is going to be a great success. I confidently predict we will see many more outlets following the lead set by Sturgess Group in the coming weeks.”
