POTHOLES ARE COMING – ARE YOU READY?

The AA’s army of road watchers has warned that even before winter has fully set in the UK’s roads are already suffering from potholes. The South West is the only region to have on average more repaired potholes than new ones. The inevitable pothole vehicle repairs could give garages a winter bonus.

CES BRINGS CHESTER TO A STANDSTILL

CES bought the streets of Chester to a standstill recently as cars taking part in the Winter Rally Challenge parked up in the city center. The parts distributor sponsored the rally challenge, and decided to bring some of the glory back to its hometown of Chester.

MOTOR CODES RECEIVES FULL OFT APPROVAL

Motor Codes has received full approval from the Office of Fair Trading. The approval means that garages already signed up to Motor Codes will be able to display the OFT logo alongside other branding. Motor Codes says the endorsement will reassure motorists and raise confidence in self-regulation in the motor trade.

TETROSYL BUYS FACTOR CHAIN

Tetrosyl has bought factor chain Godfrey Automotive Parts Limited for an undisclosed sum, in a deal which will add the £6m turnover business to Tetrosyl’s portfolio. The automotive product manufacturer bought the Godfrey chain just nine days after it had been placed into administration.

FIRST LINE WINS INAUGURAL CAT KARTING CHALLENGE

After all the deals at this year’s Mechanex event in Sandown had been done, suppliers were let loose to vent their aggressions on the racetrack at the inaugural CAT Karting Challenge. 16 teams lined up on the starting grid to compete in a grueling 90-minute endurance race, with First Line eventually taking the flag.
