CHARITY: BEN LAUNCHES ‘MOVING’ CAMPAIGN

Automotive charity, Ben, is launching a new challenge, Move4Ben. Starting on 1st June, to raise funds and inspire people to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Move4Ben will challenge participants to exercise in any way they choose and, at the same time, raise funds for Ben so that no-one in automotive has to face life’s toughest challenges alone.

The initiative comes as the charity seeks to plug a six-figure hole in its finances following a collapse in fundraising activities and a rise in demand for its services in 2020.

To take part, each participant sets their own personal challenge in terms of distance and exercise type. For example, participants could walk 10,000 steps a day, dance for 100 hours or complete 10k on a space hopper. Participants pledge to raise at least £100 and they have one month to complete the challenge.

Matt Wigginton, Director of Partnerships, Engagement & Income at Ben, said: “We’re really excited about our latest active challenge, Move4Ben! Giving people the opportunity to set their own challenge allows them to pick something they will personally enjoy and be creative, while also raising funds so we can continue to provide life-changing support for automotive people.
