ECP MOVES AUTOEDUCATION ONLINE

Euro Car Parts has launched a new online learning suite under the existing AutoEducation brand.

The courses from the LKQ-owned factor chain cover topics including MOT and diagnostics to hybrids and EVs, as well as specific components like brakes, electrics, air conditioning, and steering and suspension.

AutoEducation is now online, physical training to resume ‘when the time is right’

Later this month the programme will expand to include garage management, with topics on health and safety, HR compliance and business compliance.

AutoEducation was originally conceived by ECP’s then-rival Andrew Page. Today it is part of the Workshop Solutions division, which oversees the provision of training and equipment in the independent aftermarket.

2018: ANDREW PAGE AND ECP TRAINING PROGRAMMES MERGE

Workshop Solutions director Adam White commented: “As a business, we’ve already talked a lot about digitalisation being the aftermarket’s biggest opportunity in 2021.

“We and our customers have a shared responsibility to develop our digital capabilities, with a view to driving efficiencies and improving the long-term competitiveness of the independent aftermarket. Our new e-learning suite is key to this”.

White added that the shift to online did not signify a permanent end of physical training. “We have plans in place to continue offering Covid-secure, face-to-face learning for customers who work best in a classroom setting when the time is right, and we now have an additional, digital option for those who prefer more flexibility” he concluded.
