Following its success in winning the Queen’s Award for International Trade, emissions parts manufacturer Eminox has been presented with the gong by the Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire, Toby Dennis. The ceremony, on 10 September 2021, in Gainsborough saw Eminox’s staff celebrate the business’s success at its company celebration day.
The award, in the International Trade category, recognised Eminox’s increasing export success, which has seen overseas sales grow by 146 percent over the three-year application period. Exported sales rose to 67 percent of the company’s total sales during the same time frame. Demonstrating the scale of the achievement this was the first time that Eminox had entered the award competition.
“Our success in winning the Queen’s Award is due to the tremendous effort that the entire workforce has put in to expand our business over the past three years,” said Mark Runciman, Managing Director, Eminox. “It was therefore perfect that we could all come together again to celebrate in person as we move forward post-lockdown. There’s a growing need to reduce exhaust emissions across the globe and as a company we are perfectly positioned to help reduce emissions and improve air quality through our technology, experience and the skills of our team.”
Established in 1978, Eminox designs and manufactures systems to reduce emissions from buses, trucks, rail, marine vehicles and non-road mobile machines. Due to tightening international emissions requirements the company expects further future export growth from Europe and other regions, particularly Asia.
“It’s right that Eminox is being honoured with the Queen’s Award, both for the wonderful work of its employees, and also the technological improvements the company has introduced, which will improve the future of the environment going forward,” said Toby Dennis, Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire, as he presented the award.
