Managing Director Dave Richards acknowledges that the independent aftermarket has come a long way in embracing diagnostic equipment, but it still needs further support in ensuring they have a full solution.
It says the days of owning only one diagnostic tool are over, as technicians will be no longer offer the best possible service and coverage.
Richards said: “Choosing a diagnostic tool is often more about choosing the provider ahead of the product. Workshops and motor factors have to ensure the service and support is in place to help them with getting the most from the product. This includes extensive vehicle coverage, cost-effective updates and good hardware, all of which have been the backbone of our growth over the past ten years.”
He added that a number of garages still don’t have any diagnostic equipment and many still look to one piece that will cover everything, although the market is constantly changing.
