Klarius has launched a new series of catalytic converters. It says the range boasts its most extensive market coverage to date.

The range includes cats to fit several thousand vehicles, leading to coverage of most of the UK car parc.

So confident is Klarius in the quality of this new range, it has introduced a new lifetime warranty – a move it believes is a first for the aftermarket.

The company says its new range represents a continued investment to supply the aftermarket with the latest designs. Klarius has also released a new tool-kit to help garages get acquainted with the new range.

Paul Hannah, business development director, said: “As cost pressures force distributors to manage stock more efficiently, our frequent deliveries are proving more beneficial than ever before.

“If you have total confidence in a brand and it is commercially well placed, the crucial question is always – is it available now? The answer, for us, has to be as close to 100 percent ‘yes’ as possible.”

In other news, the company has recently signed a deal which allows it to manufacture racing exhausts, including cats, for three BMW racing series.

The BMW Production Cup, BMW Compact Cup and BMW Z3 Cup series will each have exhaust components made especially for them.

This won’t be the first time Klarius components have been used in a race series; it has previously supplied cats to the Ma5da Racing Championship.

Commenting on the deal, Doug Bentley, head of R&D, said: “In recent years, we have invested heavily in our R&D centre, allowing us to keep ahead of the market when developing systems for road cars.

“This technology means that we are also able to design exhaust systems tuned perfectly for the track; our expertise in lean manufacture means we can also supply them at a more competitive rate than traditional racing exhaust systems.”
