Brake part producer TMD Friction, has been recognised by trading network TEMOT International for supply chain management in 2021 at the Annual Meeting & Executive Suppliers’ Event in Munich (12-15 June).
The ‘Supplier of the Year’ award in the Supply Chain Management category demonstrated the friction supplier’s contribution to the success of its customers’ business, even in the current time of persistent global supply chain problems.
The company was commended for its continuous work in evolving and optimising processes for supplying its customers with quality braking products across all its brands.
Clement de Valon, Executive Vice President, Aftermarket of TMD Friction, said: “We are very pleased to have received the Special Recognition Award from TEMOT International in the Supply Chain category. This award also reflects the very good relationship with TEMOT as a valued partner.”
One success factor is the European central warehouse in Leverkusen-Hitdorf, which has significantly increased its capacity in recent years, and has been equipped with state-of-the-art digital logistics systems. In addition to investments in inventory and technology, staff has also been increased and further qualified, contrary to the general trend.
