TRADE FAIR BOSS: AFTERMARKET TO UNDERGO ‘NATURAL SELECTION’

The boss of one of Europe’s leading trade shows has warned that ‘only the fittest will survive the crisis’

Writing on the blog on the trade fair’s newsletter, Renzo Servadei, MD of Autopromotec channelled the words of Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, in regards to the pandemic and its effects on the supply chain and the aftermarket.

Using Tzu’s mantra of ‘to know the enemy, you must first know yourself’ Servadei rhetorically asked the aftermarket if it was ready for what was still yet to come, noting that ‘Every crisis, is followed by a sort of natural selection,’ and that ‘only the fittest will overcome the obstacles and feature prominently in future markets’.

The next edition of Autopromotec has been pushed back to 2022 so as not to clash with Automechnika Frankfurt, which has been pushed back to 2021. Meanwhile, an online event called ‘Futurmotive’ has been scheduled for December 10th this year.
