Remy Automotive warns that the 2.0 litre TDCi engine can have been fitted with one of two alternators as OE. Although they look identical, they are not interchangeable. It is therefore vital that the part number on the old alternator is checked when ordering a replacement part. A similar issue can occur with the starter motor for the 2.2 litre TDCi engine. So always check the labels on the old core before ordering.
