Day one featured training for MAM/A1 Connect, the A1 Members’ Intranet and New POS4U web-to-print website, while the trade show proper was held the following day.

Suppliers who attended the show included Pearl Automotive, Trico, Osram, Maypole, Comline, Ring, WD-40, Yuasa and many more. Deals on the day were designed to increase revenue and profit.

Steve Catling, Managing Director at Pearl Automotive said: “I think it is fair to say that we enjoyed the most successful show for many years. We experienced a steady flow of members visiting our stand who were looking for new and interesting opportunities.”

Ring Automotive were presented with A1’s Supplier of the Year Award, while Allied Nippon disc pads from Comline scooped Product of the Year.

Danny Gilmore, Associate Sales Director at Ring Automotive said: “A1 Motor Stores and Ring have a very good and long standing working relationship. We enjoy immensely working with the members and delighted that they also think highly of us.

Malcolm Rosher, Sales and Marketing Director at Comline, added: “It was a real thrill to us all at Comline to win this award. We manufacture, this means we don’t ‘shop around’. We know exactly where our pads come from and we have full control on selecting the raw ingredients right through the manufacture process to our distribution policy throughout Europe.”

Automotion owner Julie Watson is an A1 member of eight years and said: “I have attended eight conferences now and I personally think it was the best one overall. “

A1 Motor Stores Head of Operations John Murray concluded: “With very few trade shows still around now, we are proud that the A1 Trade Show remains popular. It provides an opportunity for suppliers’ to meet customers old and new, for our members it provides a forum to exchange news and ideas.”
