BELTON MASSEY SCOOPS THREE AWARDS

Exhaust and cat manufacturer Belton Massey is celebrating after scooping three awards for ‘Achievement in International Business’, ‘Manufacturer of the Year’, as well as the prestigious ‘Business of the Year’, at this year’s Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce (DNCC) awards.

The Nottinghamshire based company, which produces catalytic converters, DPFs and front pipes for the automotive aftermarket, and employs over 200 staff, won the accolades after demonstrating continuing development and good governance.

Accepting the award on behalf of Belton Massey, Chairman John Massey stated: “We are absolutely elated to have won the awards for ‘Achievement in International Business’, ‘Manufacturer of the Year’, as well as ‘Business of the Year’ at this year’s DNCC Awards. Finding out that we had been shortlisted for the awards was a huge accolade in itself for the company, but winning both awards and then being crowned ‘Business of the Year’, especially given the calibre of such prestigious competition, is a complete surprise, a fantastic honour and both personally and professionally rewarding for everyone involved.”

“These awards will not only provide a fantastic boost for the management team and our staff as we continue to expand in European and global markets, but it is great to see that we are being commended for our excellence in manufacturing and achievement in international business. There is no doubt that the European markets are some of the most competitive anywhere in the world, so to have achieved so much, so quickly, and to be recognised for our ability to develop products before market demands them, is fantastic.”

“These awards are a testament to the whole company and its achievement, so I’d like to thank the team for helping us get to where we are today. I would also like to thank the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce for acknowledging our efforts.”

Having recently expanded its manufacturing facilities in Nottinghamshire and announced that its export sales surpassed domestic sales for the first time in 2014, the news of winning three accolades at this year’s DNCC Awards, rounds off a great year for the company. Most recently its BM Catalysts brand launched a new Premium Range of Catalytic Converters at Automechanika in Frankfurt in September.
