ECCO SAFETY GROUP ACQUIRED BY CLARIENCE

Ecco Safety Group, the manufacturer of warning lights, sirens and other products, has been acquired by US-based Clarience. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

ESG EMEA base in Leeds

ESG, best known for it’s brands that include Code3, Vision Alert, Britax and Premier Hazard has restructured in recent years, bringing it’s various UK bases together into one large production site and warehouse on the Green Park industrial estate in Leeds. The firm has a presence in seven count tires around the world and is headquartered in the US.

The firm has a record of innovation having developed the first reversing beeper, and today holds over 200 patents, including the newly launched Matrix system which simplifies the systems integration of the siren and lights in a police vehicle. It also developed the first commercially available aftermarket sound generator for electric vehicles. 

Welcoming the takeover, Brian Kupchella, Chief Executive Officer of Clarience Technologies, said, “We are thrilled to welcome ESG to Clarience Technologies. The addition of ESG’s leading safety and emergency lighting solutions expands and complements our existing offering of lighting technologies and advanced telematics.
