AS-PL: GROWTH DESPITE ‘TURBULENT’ 2020 AND BREXIT

The UK Sales Director of Poland-based rotating product supplier ASPL has spoken about the ‘very tough trading conditions’ brought about by Brexit.

Kevin Sharp, Regional Sales Director for UK and Ireland said: “Despite the challenges of a turbulent 2020, the company once again grew its sales revenue and at the same time extended its global reach into 20 new countries around the world”.

“Those challenges were made even harder in the UK due to the ‘Brexit’ factor, the late trade agreement and the confusion within the market as to what exactly was required to trade ‘seamlessly’ between the EU and the UK” Sharp added.

“With the new way of trading creating issues, well documented problems in the logistics ‘supply chain’ and the continued knock-on effect of the pandemic, together with the shortage of capacity in the freight market, all added up to very tough trading conditions for the UK in the early weeks of 2021”

Sharp believes that after these initial hurdles, there are ‘clear signs’ that some normality is returning to the market, meaning the firm can continue its growth plans for the UK.
