STELLANTIS LAUNCHES ONLINE USED CAR PROGRAMME

VM giant Stellantis has launched a multi-brand approved-used programme named ‘SPOTiCAR’. The initiative combines used models from four Stellantis group brands at launch on a single platform, along with other brands the retailer chooses to offer.

Stellantis to launch approved used programme with option to buy entirely online

Available from launch across Vauxhall, Peugeot and Citroën networks, the programme is similar to other online used car dealers in that it allows buyers to view their next vehicle from home, as well as undertake part-exchange valuations on their current vehicles and configure the right finance package. However, customers can also visit a retailer to view the car in person and organise test drives.

The launch comes at a crucial time for the UK’s car industry, with the latest research finding that while the majority of buyers are increasingly comfortable completing their purchase online, nearly 65 percent still value the physical experience of viewing and test driving vehicles before signing on the dotted line*

Nick Richards, Stellantis Used Vehicle Operations Director said: “Stellantis is always looking at new ways to innovate the market, and with the launch of SPOTiCAR we bring our excellent used-approved programmes across our brands into a single platform for customers to use. We’ve also optimised the platform so customers can view online, or visit a showroom to finalise the details, giving them the convenience and choice to decide what is best for them.”
