The existing workshop scheme from the oil blender will continue, but the new Auto Service offering has been designed for larger workshops that sell over 7,000 litres of lubricant per year. The implementation partner for the programme is The Race Group, part of Certas Energy which is an independent supplier of fuel and branded lubricants.

Benefits include garage branding, access to an engine warranty scheme and listing on a website to help customers find a trusted garage.

Amanda Taylor, UK Marketing Manager at Castrol, commented: “This programme has been piloted very successfully in other European countries, including Germany and Belgium, so we’re delighted to now be able to offer it to build longterm, mutually beneficial partnerships between Castrol and the UK’s most respected independent workshops. We know these businesses will be able to leverage the trusted Castrol brand to attract new customers and showcase a quality-led aftersales proposition.”
