KYB has launched a new series of technical videos on YouTube for its customers.

The site, found here, showcases a range of technical videos which give advice on working on different vehicles. Cars featured so far include the Audi A4, Peugeot 407, Renault Laguna and Mercedes A Class.

Videos guide technicians through each vehicle, as well as tackling suspension setups and replacing shock absorbers. Films showing on-track testing are also included on the site.

Customer Service Manager Sue Clough commented: “We have introduced a number of videos on the YouTube site to help technicians working on some cars where fitment may prove more challenging and we will be adding to these over the coming months.”

Clough added that KYB’s extensive training program teaches technicians to look for the physical signs of wear on shocks and springs, and advises garages of what to look out for.

“In addition we supply visual aids including leaflets and point-of-sale material which garages can use to explain to motorists the importance of checking shocks and springs as they are safety critical components. Their replacement also represents a great sales opportunity for our independent garage customers.”
