Autoparts launches its own garage management software

Autoparts has launched a new web-based management tool for independent garages.

The tool, named Workshop Expert Online, has been developed in partnership with MAM. Autoparts says the software can help businesses in all areas, including accounting, daily workshop management, parts lookup and ordering and customer relationship management.

The company says the workshop management function of Workshop Expert Online is of particular use to garages. Users can access a database of repair times for hundreds of common jobs, alongside VM recommended service schedules.

Autoparts Group Factor Manager Craig McCracken said: “As a progressive motor factor, it is only right that we continue to look at ways in which we can support garages, both operationally and also in their relationship with Autoparts. Workshop Expert Online is comprehensive, but simple to use, plays an integral part in the running of a business and, works to establish a closer relationship between the garage and motorist.”

Garages are already trying out the software. Office Manager at Glentyan Motor Engineers Christina Stevens says: “We have been very impressed by the flexibility of Workshop Expert Online and the customer service is of the highest level. Any queries we have are answered quickly and the product is perfectly suited to our business requirements. We would definitely recommend it to other independent garages.”
