Comline Auto Parts has extended its “passion for racing” by sponsoring Welsh distributor Bob Fowden.

Fowden, who began rally driving 40 years ago in 1972, has had mixed luck in the past two years. In 2011 he emerged victorious with a first place podium in the Welsh National Championship

A year later his dreams of winning were cruelly snatched away by a serious vehicle fault, leaving him a very respectable second place in the 2012 championship.

Fowden has run his own motor factor business for 34 years. Comline sponsored his Subaru Impreza in the championship, also supplying brake discs for the car.

Sales and Marketing Director, Malcom Rosher explained his company’s philosophy: “At Comline, we don’t have company cars or stay in fancy hotels because we believe that by keeping costs down, we can offer better value to the customer.”

Comline can next be found at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham between 9-11 April.
