MOTOR CODES RECEIVES FULL OFT APPROVAL
Motor Codes has received full approval from the Office of Fair Trading. The approval means that garages already signed up to Motor Codes will be able to display the OFT logo alongside other branding. Motor Codes says the endorsement will reassure motorists and raise confidence in self-regulation in the motor trade.

TETROSYL BUYS FACTOR CHAIN
Tetrosyl has bought factor chain Godfrey Automotive Parts Limited for an undisclosed sum, in a deal which will add the £6m turnover business to Tetrosyl’s portfolio. The automotive product manufacturer bought the Godfrey chain just nine days after it had been placed into administration.

GARAGES COULD MAKE £30K EXTRA FROM WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Garages could make up to £27,360 extra income every year. That’s according to Hofmann, who say that just two 3D wheel alignments per day could net garages an additional income. The garage equipment manufacturer is asking garages to ‘unleash the wheel alignment cash cow.’

Franchised dealers have lost servicing work to independents so far in 2011. That’s according to Trend Tracker, who’s latest report suggests franchises are loosing increasing amounts of work to the independent sector.
