While workshops around the country must get very tired with explaining the virtues of preventative maintenance to customers, CTEK at least has revealed that when it comes to battery care, motorists are more switched on than first thought.
In the survey of over 1000 people 94 percent said they associated battery care with vehicle reliability while 84 percent viewed battery charging as a preventative measure rather than a distress activity.
CTEK says that with modern vehicles placing batteries under greater strain than ever before, the positive reaction shown by customers to the idea of preventative battery maintenance can only be a good thing.
For those motorists who don’t charge up, there are healthy profits to be made in offering simple battery maintenance services as part of a diagnostic routine or vehicle check-up.
As CTEK points out, regular charging can increase battery lifespan by as much as 300 percent. Get charging, then.
