A NEW HOME FOR FORD RETAIL SUPPLIER

Ford trade parts supplier @First Parts Solutions has moved to a new distribution centre in Essex.

The move has effectively doubled the supplier’s offerings, increasing stock capacity to over five million parts across 45,000 lines.

The company says its move has been driven by a substantial increase in sales in recent years, which means it has outgrown its previous facility in Barking.

All 97 staff from the Barking facility have been moved to the new site in Thurrock, Essex. The new facility offers an impressive 50,000 square feet of space, and will operate 24 hours a day with overnight stock picking.

The new distribution centre will form an integral part of the @First Parts Solutions supply chain, helping the company make over 8000 deliveries a day with the help of a 160-strong fleet of vans.

Managing Director for the company Jon Harte said: “This is a significant expansion in our warehousing capacity for the South East and has also allowed us to modernise our stock management systems to ensure we offer the very best service to our growing customer base.”
