ACDelco’s Lee Quinney has been appointed as Director of the company’s aftermarket activities in the UK and Europe.

As a reward for his five and a half years of service to ACDelco, as well as the company’s growth within the UK and European markets, parent company General Motors announced the appointment late last week.

The announcement coincided with news that Willi Fey, former head of ACDelco’s European operation will retire following 33-years of service to General Motors.

Commenting on announcement Fey said: “Lee has been the architect behind the substantial growth that ACDelco has enjoyed in the UK and Europe over the last five and a half years, and his continued and dedicated focus to develop the business will help further strengthen ACDelco’s already prominent position within the UK and European aftermarket.

“What’s more, he has assembled a very experienced and equally enthusiastic team to support the continued implementation of what remains a progressive development strategy.”

Quinney added: “The combined efforts of everyone associated with ACDelco, both in the UK and Europe, has been instrumental in helping the organisation secure a very strong position within the independent aftermarket and I am now looking forward to working with them to take the business to its next level.

“Looking to the future, and given the fact that we are backed by one of the strongest brands in the worldwide aftermarket, it is our aim to capitalise on the significant opportunities that the aftermarket still has to offer.”
