The Alliance Group, which operates under the Groupauto UK name in this country, has acquired a majority stake in Precisium Group.

The Precisium Group is the the largest automotive parts trading group in France, and the acquisition gives the Alliance Group a substantial boost in the country. The acquisition increases the consolidated turnover of the Alliance Group as a whole to around €1.2 billion. Combined members of the group now have a sell-out value of €2.3 billion from 1300 points of sale.

President of the Alliance Group Jean-Jacques Lafont said: “We are delighted to welcome Precisium into our Group.  This acquisition consolidates our position in our two existing country markets and provides a solid platform to fulfill our ambition of becoming a European leader.

“Our industry will continue its process of consolidation and we intend to be at the forefront of this dynamic. This is vital as we look to ensure our network members and their customers have access to competitive terms and a superior level of support services.”
