Independent dealership group Arnold Clark Automobiles has acquired Midwest Motor Factors.
The deal sees the West Midlands factor’s six branches, including Monmore Auto Parts in Wolverhampton and Diamond Distribution become part of the group, and will see Managing Director Paul Yardley remain with the company to continue driving the business forward.
The factor dating back to 1980, started by Paul and Carol Yardley and Ray and Maureen Bennett, now has more than 80 employees and 40 vans across its sites, with Paul adding this acquisition provides an exciting future ahead for the company, its staff and customers.
“I was more than flattered by Arnold Clark’s interest in the business and on seeing its plan for growth I am very confident of an exciting future,” he says.
“Service remains key for independent garages and it’s clear that there is a real hunger from technicians for greater technical support and training.”
