Battery faults up 30% this winter, says CTEK

CTEK CHARGER2
Battery strain season approaches

Garages could see a 30% rise in battery-related business this winter, according to CTEK.

The battery charger company said that, on average, one in five vehicles enters the workshop with a fault directly related to the state of the battery – and that this is set to increase dramatically from December.

The company is advising workshops to capitalise on the predicted rush by offering battery charging as part of service related checks.

Peter White, CTEK sales and marketing manager, said: “With the onset of ‘Winter Battery Strain’ just around the corner, workshops have an ideal opportunity to maximise a potentially substantial revenue opportunity by providing a battery conditioning and charging service to customers.”

And exercising his sales and marketing prerogative, he added: “Using the CTEK MULTI XS 25000 Extended enables professional users to provide this new service in a quick, easy and convenient way.

“By charging around £10+VAT for a CTEK battery reconditioning service [they could] increase their service revenue significantly as well as providing customers with valuable peace of mind.”
