Bosch is helping to support the Race2Recovery Dakar Rally team after supplying a range of motorsport components for the team’s vehicle.
Bosch is an official partner and technical supporter for the team, and has helped kit out the Race2Recovery Qt Wildcat 500DKR with performance and accessibility parts.
Inside the vehicle a Bosch Motorsport DDU 7 dash logger gives the drivers a functional readout of vehicle systems, as well as controlling gearshift and conditional alarm lights.
Bosch has also fitter a number of additional sensors to the car to allow occupants to monitor drivetrain, differential, transfer box and gearbox components.
Tim Hare from Bosch Motorsport said: “After discussions with the Race2Recovery team and especially the drivers, we drew up a component specification list that would improve the overall durability of the vehicles, as well as enable bespoke solutions to overcome individual issues caused by team members’ disabilities.”
Race2Recovery driver and co-founder Captain Tony Harris said: “We are delighted to have Bosch as an official supporter and to be benefiting from Bosch Motorsport’s technical expertise and components. We are sure it will prove invaluable to us in completing the Dakar Rally.”
