CAT announces new Rising Star Award

PG-Automotive-LogoAutomotive recruitment specialists PG Automotive have teamed up with CAT to sponsor a new category for the 2014 CAT Awards. The Rising Star Award will recognise the up and coming talent in the industry, celebrating individuals who have made a real difference to their company. This award is not just aimed at new talent, but also at individuals in the aftermarket that have contributed over a number of years and have shown progression throughout their career.

PG Automotive Managing Director Pete George recognises that for the Automotive Aftermarket to prosper, it is these individuals that need to be championed as they form part of the DNA of our industry, saying “PG Automotive are proud to sponsor the Rising Star Award as a celebration of the unsung heroes in the Automotive Aftermarket. These are individuals that contribute heavily towards the success of their organisations but typically lurk in the shadows and are very rarely recognised externally for their efforts.

Editor Peter Lawton adds: “I’m very pleased that CAT is teaming up with PG Automotive on this award. The success of our industry depends heavily on the quality of people working in it, so to find a rising star is an exciting prospect.”

George goes on to add: “It has only been within the last 12 months that PG Automotive has emerged from the shadows. We always felt that working behind the scenes was the best way for our business to operate – which was not the case. We are responsible for assisting with a large number of industry appointments and we are happy to share our success and further remind people that the aftermarket is still evolving, still modernising and above all, here for good.”
