EEC takes up the challenge for BEN

Four staff from European Exhausts and Catalysts are taking up a cycling challenge in aid of BEN.

Starting on 17^th August the EEC staff will attempt to cycle between their manufacturing plants in Hilton, Derbyshire to Denmead in Hampshire. That’s a distance of 170 miles.

The challenge is forecast to take almost two days of continuous cycling. The cyclists will be using the National Cycle Network to travel from the Midlands down to the South Coast.

Duncan Richards, Paul Newby, Andy Wilding and Andy’s daughter Stephanie will be cycling to raise money for the aftermarket charity BEN.

Richards, who’s taking part in the cycle challenge said: “As keen cyclists, we’re ready to take on this challenge and want to raise as much money as possible for our own industry charity.”

“Although we’ve driven between our sites hundreds of times, this will be much tougher than battling the commuter traffic! We’ve been practising hard, and encourage everyone to make a donation.”
