Computer trading tools are playing a key role in building connections between suppliers and motor factors, says PACT.
These interactions have been on the increase and a majority of it has been driven by multiple branch factors looking to add suppliers into their own networks.
EParts Director Mark Rudge said: “Connectivity and electronic trading is now a way of life in the automotive aftermarket.
The benefit of real-time experiences is believed to be the main reason for the increase in the use of technology, as it allows factors and suppliers the opportunity to facilitate more business more quickly.
Also add the increased efficiencies from automated sales enquiries, orders and exchanging of various important documentation and information, means that factors benefit from lower costs too.
Rudge added: “Motor factors are now experiencing the full benefits and efficiencies created from electronic trading and its role in enabling growth without the need to substantially increase the workforce.
“It would take a considerable amount of time and resources to manually input orders, create invoices and manage the goods inwards process. Pact automates all these process reducing cost, time and waste. The automotive aftermarket is fully connected and, as a result, changing perceptions of our trade.”
