Euro Car Parts plans to open at least 16 new branches before the end of the third quarter of 2012, with five new branches to open in Scotland.

The parts supplier has revealed its growth intentions for the rest of the year while also confirming it will create over 2000 full time jobs as part of its plans.

ECP’s continued growth spurt comes just weeks after the company celebrated opening its 100th branch in Harrow. As well as that branch ECP has also opened new sites in Blackpool, Brierley Hill, Brixton, Chesterfield, Kilmarnick, Kings Norton, Littlehampton, Luton, Newport, Scunthorpe, Sutton, Wapping and Wolverhampton so far in 2012.

Among sites confirmed to open in the next phase of ECP’s growth are Durham, Lincoln, Aberdeen and Salisbury.

ECP says that as well as creating new employment its growth has also bought a significant investment in both its stock capabilities and its fleet. The company’s National Distribution Center in Tamworth will benefit from a new mezzanine floor area, which could significantly boost stock availability for the ECP network.

Commenting on the growth plans ECP Managing Director Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia said: “These are exciting times for Euro Car Parts with our rapid and sustainable expansion creating thousands of new jobs.

“With new service and repair product lines and whole new areas of business, such as our LKQ-backed Collision Repair programme, Euro Car Parts is helping to lead the UK back to prosperity. We continue to seek improvements in all aspects of our service and recently invested in a 25-strong team of trainers to increase our sales advisors’ product knowledge.

“As ever more people are now appreciating, when Euro Car Parts opens a new branch we really mean business.”
