Screen-shot-2013-11-06-at-11.50.22Groupauto says its Approved Garages roadshow tour of the UK has been a resounding success.

The tour aimed to showcase the opportunities available to garages through the Motor Code for Service and Repair backed scheme.

Though still in its infancy, the Approved Garages programme is already delivering benefits to subscriber garages including new business from visitors to its website, says Groupauto.

Phil Seymour, Approved Garages Network Manager, said: “When garages realise that the network is only actually six months old and already it is almost 400 strong, the penny drops and they see that it is a force to be reckoned with.

“Add to this the fact that there have now been more than 125,000 website visitors who have created more than 6500 leads for garages in the network, and they begin to recognise that Approved Garages will be instrumental in shaping the garage landscape of the future.”

A significant investment has been made into Approved Garages including the development of an up-to-date website and a dedicated call centre, where 20 percent of calls received are to arrange a booking with a member workshop.

Seymour added: “Another benefit that has come as a result of our roadshows is a secondary lift in the number of nominations we have received from motor factors who see that the network will help their garage customers.”

Following a successful ‘Big Summer Giveaway’ promotion at AutoCare garages, Groupauto says it has now put together it’s biggest ever programme for the network.

Motorists visiting an AutoCare garage during the period of the promotion for a winter vehicle check, MOT, service or repair, all have the opportunity to enter a free prize draw for the chance to win one of 40 prizes ranging from £100 Love2Shop vouchers, progress to the just released Sony PS4 games console.
