Gaskets and cabin filters specialist Corteco has moved to a new home in the UK.
The company has set up shop on the Wycliffe industrial estate in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
The new site has double the warehousing space of Corteco’s previous UK HQ, which allows both sales staff and conference facilities to be housed under the same roof.
Moving to the new site forms part of the extensive Corteco expansion plan, which also saw the opening of a new European logistics centre by the company in Hirschberg in June.
The company says the move to Lutterworth was planned to cause minimal disruption to customers.
Corteco general manager Martin Jones said: “A move to a new site was long overdue. Our parts range includes oil seals, brake hoses, gaskets, engine mounts, pulleys and cabin air filters. That amounts to over 18,000 part numbers that we have to find a home for.
“We will be announcing new product range extensions at Equip Auto, in October and we have just added to our sales force so the move is well timed.
“Apart from the obvious implications for improving warehousing and distribution, our goal is to provide one face to the customer. Both moves will improve our efficiency and centralise our activities. Both will provide a stronger platform to increase our overall market share,â€
