The Parts Alliance has signed an agreement with Kwik Fit to supply brake components, in a deal worth in excess of £20 million.

The two-year contract will allow The Parts Alliance to supply braking products from Delphi and its own OE-quality Drivetec brand.

Kwik Fit currently has 676 outlets around the UK. The addition of components from The Parts Alliance will allow it to provide services for an estimated 97 percent of the UK car parc.

Whilst The Parts Alliance will be the main provider of brake components to Kwik Fit, including discs, pads and ancillary parts such as bearings, the contract is not exclusive.

Steve Fulford, chairman of The Parts Alliance said: “This is an exciting time for the group as we invest significantly in our product ranges, our infrastructure and people, to ensure we continue to deliver quality parts and a first class service throughout the aftermarket.”

Fulford added that after tyres, he believes braking is now Kwik Fit’s fastest growing product area. He said that one of the aims of The Parts Alliance in this deal is to grow that area for the fast fit network.

Grahame Forsyth, a spokesman for Kwik Fit said: “This partnership will allow us to offer an extensive range of products and services to better meet the demands of our customers and ensure that we remain at the forefront of our industry.”

The Parts Alliance will continue to supply a complete range of other components to Kwik Fit, and will also bid for other national contracts which have been put out to tender.
