Delphi Common Rail Systems

Pre-installation cleaning procedures.

When fitting a replacement Delphi CR pump, please pay attention to the process outlined below. Failure to do so can damage the diesel system’s components as well as the engine.

If the original failure is caused due to internal CR pump breakdown or because of using low or bad quality fuel, before fitting the new pump you must change the following components:

• Fuel tank
• Fuel pipes and connections
• Fuel filters
• High pressure rail
• Common rail injectors
• Common rail pump

Please note that if you take the decision to not follow these steps the diesel system could be damaged.
