HID bulbs represent a growing market

Ring Automotive is helping garages wake up to the financial opportunities offered by fitting High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs.

Although originally thought to last the vehicle’s lifetime, the bulbs in reality only last 3-5 years and demand is growing now they are fitted as standard on new models.

Using the example of the Ford Mondeo, Ring says HID bulbs bring a 309.5% increase in revenue over standard lighting, with an additional £175.80 taken per fitting.

In answer to this fresh demand, the supplier is selling a range of direct OE replacement HID bulbs, helping mechanics to take advantage of higher sales margins.
