Motor Codes has announced the nation’s 50 favourite independent garages as part of its ‘Golden Garages’ competition.
In a contest giving away over £16k of prizes, more than 4000 votes have decided the top 5 workshops across 10 UK regions, including CAT Mag’s 2010 Garage of the Year, ABP Motorsport of Crewe.
Further public voting at www.goldengarages.co.uk will eventually see a winning garage in each region claim £1000 worth of prizes, with a national winner to be singled out by a panel of judges.
Panel judge and TV presenter Vicki Butler Hendersen said: “The Golden Garages competition will champion the best garages out there so that motorists can be confident when taking their car for a service or repair.â€
Motor Codes research has shown over 14m motorists feel short changed by their local garage, however, 90% of people using a Motor Codes garage were satisfied.
“We’ve identified the most popular garages that received consistently good customer feedback,” said Motor Codes director Chris Mason, also on the panel.
“Motor Codes is determined to promote the best the service and repair sector has to offer so that ever motorist can benefit from fair, honest, quality service.â€
