NGK-Goodwood-2013-1NGK has announced it will be one of many automotive suppliers exhibiting at Goodwood’s Festival of Speed.

The popular OE and aftermarket spark plug, glow plug and lambda sensor manufacturer aims to be centre stage throughout the iconic event staged between June 26 and 29.

Gerard Irving, Marketing Manager for NGK Spark Plugs, said: “We are looking forward to exhibiting at the 2014 Festival of Speed as it gives us the opportunity not only to appear alongside our vehicle manufacturer customers bust also to meet people who fit or use our parts.

“As a major component manufacturer we feel it is important that we support such a fantastic event that attracts tens of thousands of motorsport enthusiasts who we can then engage with and tell them more about our company and products.”

The Hemel Hempstead based firm has seen its products supplied and used by a number of Formula One teams including McClaren Mercedes, Ferrari and Mercedes, in the Qatar M-Sport World Rally Team cars and various Moto GP and Speedway teams’ bikes.

This year’s festival, celebrating the theme ‘addicted to winning’, will feature once again a number of high profile drivers matched with equally iconic vehicles, including Emerson Fittipaldi, John Surtees, Sebestian Loeb, Tom Kristensen and Indy Car legend Al Unser.
