Pearl Automotive expanding into Abingdon

by

IMG_8930Pearl Automotive is moving a large part of its operation from Benfleet, Essex to a new state-of-the-art facility in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

The move from the current 30,000 sq ft unit is being made as Pearl says it has outgrown its current base. The move will allow it to better cater for increasing demand, private label  and quick delivery.

Steve Catling, Managing Director at Pearl Automotive, said: “After 27 years in Benfleet it’s fair to say our storage area was bursting at the seams and we all see this as a giant step forward.”

Catling said it was an exciting time for Pearl as the move will allow them to grow and refocus on their strengths in the market.

Pearl will retain the Benfleet site for additional product packing and distribution, while sales and marketing operations will also continue to work from Essex.

The much-awaited move follows Pearl’s 40 Anniversary and launches of the new amd completely overhauled 2013 Workshop Consumable print catalogue and iPad app. Pearl has also revamped its website ensuring a focus on customers.

CAT recently visited Pearl to talk about how business has been since a management buyout five years ago. Click here for more.
