Winning the Supplier of the Year award represents 18 months of hard work for the man who heads up Valeo Service Phillip Everitt and his team in Redditch. It hasn’t been an easy transition as a new management team and big changes have been made in such a short space of time, but now it is starting to pay dividends as Everitt explains.
“Our focus has always been on our customer base, all we have thought about is customer, customer, customer.
“We have really improved our position in the marketplace by doing so and adapting the way we deal with people and the offering with give them,” he adds.
“We do all this internally, and I can keep telling my team that we are fantastic, and when the outside world starts saying ‘wow, there is something happening at Valeo’, then it means a lot more.”
The response to winning hasn’t just been felt in the UK, as Valeo’s head office in France has circulated the news of Everitt’s team’s success to 78,000 Valeo members across the globe.
Everitt says that 2015 will see Valeo Service looking to build on its success, and develop its market position as a multi-specialist in the passenger car and commercial vehicle sectors, with the company aiming to take advantage of the potential in these sectors.
