Following the purchase of the intellectual property rights of QH from Klarius in February, Tetrosyl has now bought the French distribution arm of the business for an undisclosed sum.
A statement from the company reads: “Tetrosyl Group has purchased the former Quinton Hazell business operating from a 72,000 sq ft distribution warehouse in France for an undisclosed sum.
Peter Schofield, Chairman, says “We bought the worldwide IP rights for Quinton Hazell (QH) from the administrators of Klarius earlier in the year and we are now pleased to announce that we have employed 36 of the previous team to operate the newly formed Quinton Hazell Europe operation based in Lille. The expertise and commitment of the team is a real inspiration and we will put all our resources into ensuring this highly mechanised warehouse is fully operational again by August.”
Tetrosyl will be supplying Quinton Hazell products from a 65,000 sq ft dedicated parts logistics warehouse in Trafford Park, Manchester. This site has had substantial investment in the infrastructure and technology to ensure modern high-speed picking and distribution throughout the UK.
Quinton Hazell was established in 1946 and is one of the largest aftermarket parts brands in Europe. It is easily identified by its use of the dragon logo. After being owned by two American conglomerates Dana and Affinia for many years, it is now securely back in British hands with the Tetrosyl Group based in Lancashire.
