Diagnostic tools manufacturer Texa is launching a range of new products in 2012.
The company will be bringing out an assortment of new diagnostic tools for the car, CV, marine, agricultural and construction markets.
Whilst details on many of the new products won’t be released until their launch early in 2012, Texa has confirmed that the centrepiece of the updated range will be the company’s IDC 4 software platform.
Able to be installed on any windows based PC, the software is a stand alone tool for the workshop. The IDC 4 platform features a comprehensive database to allow technicians to tackle the vast majority of the car parc.
One of the products scheduled to launch at the CV show next April is the Axone 4. A development of the Axone range, the new unit is a tablet computer specifically designed for the workshop. Rugged but powerful, the unit is a one-stop shop for diagnosis.
Managing director Dave Tempest said he was keen to get more garages embracing the digital age. He said that currently just 49 percent of Texa’s customers take advantage of online software updates, something he wants to change.
