Parts Alliance takes active steps to invest in its staff

parts-allianceThe Parts Alliance has announced plans for major investment in training and support for its employees across its four brands.

The news comes following the recent developments across the business, with Group CEO Peter Sephton calling for a greater focus on helping those who work for GMF, CES, SCMF and Allparts.

He added: “We are investing in new branches, expanding the number of parts advisors and sales people in existing branches and training our people through our Parts Alliance Academies.

“Ensuring a stable working environment for our current staff, as well as getting world class processes in place to deliver our growth plans are essential.”

To help the Parts Alliance achieve their ambitious people strategy plans, it has retained the services of business coach and consultant Cathy Richardson from CR Associates, in order to develop best practices for retention and recruitment to safeguard the investment the company makes in its employees.

This drive is part of a 10-step programme for 2014 outlined by CEO Sephton to help each branch perform to its highest.

Already the strategy has seen the Parts Alliance speed up the decision-making process across the four brands by splitting them into two divisions, the Eastern Alliance formed of SCMF and Allparts and the Western Alliance formed of GMF and CES.

Each regional alliance will benefit from sharing resources, systems and best practices to accelerate growth, branch openings and employees development.

Sephton said: “This is a genuinely exciting time for the two new alliances, our four brands, our employees, and our customers, and demonstrates the strength of The Parts Alliance as these activities benefit all members.”
