Automechanika Birmingham to launch ‘matchmaking’ app to better connect visitors and exhibitors

Aptly for the 14th February, Automechanika Birmingham is celebrating the power of matchmaking, and, in a first for the event, has announced it will be offering visitors the chance to connect with exhibitors more easily than ever before at this year’s show, via the use of an innovative networking app.

Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), the app, which will be launched in the months in the lead up to the show, provides networking matches based upon an intricate algorithm.

Essentially, the more visitors interact with the app by selecting their preferences, the better and more relevant exhibitor matches they will receive.

Automechanika Birmingham, last held in 2019, will now take place in 2023.

More information on how to sign up will be announced in due course, but visitors can rest assured that they will be able to easily filter down their key reasons for visiting the show, allowing them to find their perfect matches at the touch of a button.

Not only will the app offer key exhibitor information, it will also recommend speakers, or suggest panel discussions visitors may like to attend, as well as enabling them to book meetings and message one another, providing more quality connections and saving them valuable time when attending the show.

What’s more, exhibitors will be able to highlight their key product and service offerings via the app, enabling them to attract their target audience to their stand to generate additional exposure.

Plus, they will receive a clear insight in attendee behaviour patterns. They will then be able to go over post-event analytics to establish successful connections and where improvements could be made.

This year, we’re expecting a record number of visitors through the door, and with 2023 set to be our biggest event to date, it’s important that both visitors and exhibitors are able to start their networking before they even get to the event, so they can dive straight into business when they arrive and find the information and leads they are looking for in the most efficient manner, and that’s exactly what this app aims to achieve.”

Taking place from 6 to 8 June 2023 at the NEC, Automechanika Birmingham 2023 will be the first UK event since 2019 and is already set to be a sell-out show packed with an exciting 500 leading suppliers exhibiting, including Bilstein Group, Bosch, Brembo, Castrol, Delphi, HELLA, LIQUI MOLY, MANN & HUMMEL and ZF Aftermarket.

Visitors can also benefit from a comprehensive programme of more than 192 hours of free skills training, technical talks and topical discussions on current industry issues and inspiring new technology, as well as live demonstrations in the Bodyshop Training Hub, Paint & Spray Live and Collision Repair Live, all presented by industry experts.
